What is True Love?

Monday is Valentine’s Day, a holiday which celebrates love. How do you define love? Most people think of love as a warm, emotional bond or feeling for someone or something. But that is not how the Bible defines love! God’s definition of love is found in 1 Corinthians 13:1-8. There we find that love is defined in terms of how we treat others and not just in terms of how we feel about them. God loved us so much He gave the life of His Son Jesus Christ to save us from sin and death (John 3:16). Have you given your life to the one who gave His life for you (Acts 2:38)?
