What about Easter?

On April 24, 2011, Christendom will celebrate Easter Sunday. This is an annual religious holy day in honor of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Yet, at the church of Christ, we have no sunrise services, no passion plays, or any of the other rituals often associated with Easter. This is not because we reject the resurrection of Christ! It is because there is no authority in the New Testament for a holy day called Easter. Thus, the apostles and the earliest Christians did not celebrate Easter and neither do we today. We are interested in the restoration of first century, pre-denominational Christianity. Why not join us Sunday for a simple, non-denominational worship service?
