WALKING WITH GOD
Walking with God makes life so much more bearable.
You always have someone to talk to.
Someone is always there for you.
So many times we don’t know what to do or how we are going to do
it. With God we don’t have to
worry about these things.
It is amazing as you look back how God works in your life.
His ways are not our ways.
Turning your life over to Him is a matter of faith.
Each step we take in faith leads us closer to God and His will for
our lives. If you will give
Him the chance, what He may do with you may surprise you.
Remember Joseph. How could he
have ever imagined what God had in store for him?
It would have been easy for him to give up on God many times.
Yet, he kept walking with God wherever it led him.
In the end God’s purpose for him was revealed.
Joseph became a savior of Israel (Gen. 45:5)!
Too many of us allow the world to determine our course in life.
We have never learned how to walk with God.
First, we must believe in Him.
Our God is real and really interested in us.
Second, we must listen to Him.
The word of God will always lead in the path we should go.
Without following His word we will always get off course.
Third, we must stay in touch with God thru prayer.
Daily communion with the Lord is vital to a successful walk in this
world. We deprive ourselves
of so many blessings and often fail because we are out of touch with Him.
As children grow older they strike out on their own.
They do not seek the counsel of their parents.
They get away from them.
As a result they learn many lessons the hard way.
Sometimes the trouble they get into is devastating.
All of this could have been avoided had they looked to mom and dad.
God is like a parent to us.
He loves us and truly does care.
Learn to believe in Him, listen to Him and talk with Him.
Good things are in store for you.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it
will be opened to you. For
everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks
it will be opened. Or what
man is there among you who, if his son ask for bread, will give him a
stone? Or if he asks for a
fish, will he give him a serpent?
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your
children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things
to those who ask him!”
(Matthew 7:7-11).
